Chickadee
The inspiration behind this piece is some close friends of mine. They live in New Brunswick, where the provincial bird is a chickadee.
This design started with gathering references, both for the general illustration shape and colours. The colours are sampled from a real life photo of a chickadee. I then drew the shapes for the illustration of the bird.
